Accuracy drill (consistency of depth).
Every stroke or hit must land the ball within the bounds of the back court area of the tennis court. Any ball which lands in an alley, a service box, into the net, or anywhere else that is normally considered out of bounds is an error. As always in tennis, line balls are within the bounds of the playing area.

Practicing landing the tennis ball deep in the court will help a player develop the depth accuracy which will give the opponent fewer opportunities to advance to the net.
More than four players:
Any player who hits a ball short, long, or wide must rotate out to the end of the line of players waiting to be on-court. The line of waiting players forms just off of the court and near one of the net posts. Players lose their spot in line if they leave the line for any reason. Any player who leaves the line must go to the end of the line upon returning.
Four players:
Players count their own errors: into the net and outside of the target area on all four sides. The player with the fewest number of errors after a predetermined time (minutes) is the winner. The two top players are on opposite sides of the net for any similar drill on the same day.
Four Player Variation:
Players count their own errors: into the net and outside of the target on all four sides. Players are out of the drill when a prearranged number of errors is reached. The last player left is the winner. The two top players are on opposite sides of the net for another session on the same day.
NOTE: Any ball which lands in any part of the back court area is counted as good; however, advanced players should try to land every tennis ball in the back one-half of the back court area.
